He is Risen !
Newsletter - April 2010
We mark the birth of Christ's in a manger of Bethlehem, as well we mark the memory of the pain, of the crucifixion of Jesus Christ and His death and resurrection after three days. In Arabic we call this the Great Feast.
The message of the Great Feast is a message to those facing hardship under the humiliation and oppression, to those who are not pleased, to those who are robbed from their freedom, and to those who have lost hopes and dreams melted under the hand of evil.
However, the darkness must fade. The light of freedom must shine. Christ, who has lived His life in service to others, healing the injured and consoling the oppressed, feeding the hungry and touching the week, He said before making the way to the Cross to his disciples in the Gospel of John 21:16-17 "A women giving birth to a child has pain because her time has come, but when her baby is born she forgets her anguish because of her joy that a child is born into the world, so with you: now is your time to grief, but I will see you again and you will rejoice, and no one will take away your joy"
This is the message of the Great Feast; a message of hope and joy and encouragement especially to those who are going through difficulties and challenges. As Palestinians Christian we trust that Jesus Christ, who walked and lived in this holy land will fulfill all His promises. So we remain steadfast, united and victorious, and we are confident that He who is with us is stronger than who is against us, and our victory is near and our salvation is assured, so we cling to the promises of our Savior and Redeemer.
Happy Easter, and HE IS RISEN.
