Who We Are

The Palestinian Bible Society (PBS) is a national office of the UBS (United Bible Societies). The work was started in the Holy Land in 1816 and is still going on to this date. The PBS was established in 1993 (Labib Madanat was appointed as the PBS General Secretary from 1993-2007) and is an inter-confessional Christian Society committed to making the Word of God available to the Palestinians in Jerusalem, the West Bank and the Gaza Strip.
 
The PBS specifically works and partners with all the various Christian churches and denominations and, on the general scale, we work with all sectors and areas of the Palestinian community.
 
The PBS partners with different community development organizations and other Christian relief agencies.
