The Second Bible Day Event is scheduled to take place on Friday the 17th of October 2014 at the Bethlehem Convention Center. For the second year in a row, it is expected that this event will welcome around 1500 people from all the different denominations across the West Bank, Jerusalem and the Galilee. Church leaders will also be present in this unique event celebrating the Bible, its importance and value, as well as its powerful encouraging message.
The day will also commemorate the launching of the Greek Orthodox (Arabic) New Testament. This joint initiative between the Palestinian Bible Society and the Greek Orthodox Patriarchate comes after three years of intense work to re-edit and reprint. It is estimated that 25,000 copies will be distributed all across the Middle East.
