Who we are

The Holly Bible

The Palestinian Bible Society (PBS) is a national office established in 1993 and registered with the United Bible Societies (UBS), though the work originally started in the Holy Land in 1816. PBS is an inter-confessional Christian Society committed to making the Word of God available to Palestinians in Jerusalem, the West Bank and the Gaza Strip. PBS specifically works and partners with all Christian churches and denominations, and endeavors to cover all sectors and areas of the Palestinian community through different community development organizations and other Christian relief groups.

As a Christian Palestinian organisation, PBS is:

  •  Serving the entire Palestinian community with mutual respect and commitment.
  • Making the Bible available to all people and helping them understand it, while using every possible avenue within society.
  • Holistically serving the needs of local communities through local and international partnerships with Christian humanitarian organizations, meeting physical, spiritual and social needs.
  • Working within all sectors of society, including: young people, university students, children, women, marginalized groups and unprivileged communities, by means such as book fairs, local libraries, lectures, workshops and summer camps.
